German rider Smilla Göttlich delivered a stunning performance in the ADAC Junior Cup last year, securing ten pole positions and ten podium finishes - winning five of them - across ten races, ultimately clinching the championship title. This year, the 14-year-old will step up into the Moto4 Northern Cup (formerly known as the Northern Talent Cup). We recently had the opportunity to ask her a few questions. Beyond Rally is the WRC’s umbrella platform for sustainability initiatives that contribute to shaping the future of motorsport and materialise its positive impact on society. In 2024, the WRC launched the Women’s Development Programme within Beyond Rally. It saw nearly 100 drivers applying for the ultimate opportunity of a fully supported drive in the FIA Junior WRC. Suvi Jyrkiäinen from Finland is one of the three finalists who went into the Central European Rally.
