Musical vocalist turned motorcycle rider LIU Fan (刘凡) has found a way to perform art on the racing track. From enjoying motorcycling on her own to creating a unique experience for all girls interested in motorcycling, Fan relayed the power she received to more people. In the second installment of our Chinese New Year special series, we give you the story of LIU Fan.
24 year-old XU Yiwen (许一雯) hails from Anhui Province, and is currently riding for Sihai Racing in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. Starting her training in 2022, she has now succeeded in many racing events in China. Her mission doesn't stop at race wins. The 23-year-old Swiss driver Karen Gaillard is the new addition to the all-female racing squad Iron Dames in 2024. She competed for the Iron Dames in the Michelin Le Mans Cup. In addition to this, she also raced in the Ultimate Cup with DIMAB Motorsport by ANS in 2024. In 2025, first Karen will step up within the Iron Dames to join Rahel Frey, Sarah Bovy, and Michelle Gatting in Daytona 24h in January. She will also be competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup France for the season after becoming the first woman to win a national Porsche Junior shootout. Anastasiya Nikolaevna Nifontova is the only woman in Russia to have won international motorcycle competitions at the world championship level and to have been in the top 3 on the national level in five motorcycle racing disciplines (motocross, enduro, cross-country rally, supermoto, and road racing). Anastasiya is the first women in Russia to participate in the Dakar Rally and has done so twice, including riding in the unassisted "Original by Motul" category. On October 20, 2024, the inaugural season of WorldWCR finished all its competitions and saw Ana Carrasco being crowned the first ever FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Champion. On October 30, 2024, Chinese rider CHEN Shiyu (陈诗瑜) made history by becoming only the second female rider to be selected for the full-time line-up of the Asia Talent Cup (ATC) and the first-ever Chinese female rider to be selected. By the time the 2025 season of ATC starts, it would have been 11 years since Thai rider Muklada Sarapuech made her debut in ATC, and 10 years since Chinese riders CHEN Yuanhang (陈远航) and CHEN Pengyuan (陈鹏远) started the last ATC season with Chinese riders in the full-time line-up. After Shiyu came back to her home in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, we had a quick chat with her about her career and expectations of ATC, here is her story.

Girls Only by WS Racing is an all-female endurance racing team founded by Nicole Willems back in 2019. In 2021, the team took a class win in the GT4 class of the iconic Nürburgring 24-Hours Race with Célia Martin, Carrie Schreiner, Christina Nielsen, and Pippa Mann behind the wheel. This year, they took a class podium in the Nürburgring 24h with Fabienne Wohlwend, Beiske Visser, Pippa Mann, and Carrie Schreiner behind the wheel. Recently, the team went through ownership and management change with TV presenter and off-road rally veteran Lina van de Mars stepping in as the new team manager.
